2012 GMC Acadia Denali

The Denali designation is reserved for the most luxurious and most heavily stylized versions of GMC's creations - and the Acadia Denali variant of the full-size Acadia crossover is no exception to the tradition.
The Acadia Denali is available with either front- or all-wheel-drive, and features the same direct-injection 3.6-liter V6 engine seen lesser Acadia models.

The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission to help give FWD models an EPA-estimated 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. AWD models return 16/22 mpg. The Acadia is also capable of towing up to 5,200 pounds when properly equipped.
Acadia Denali buyers have the option of seven- and eight-passenger configurations.

Up front, the Acadia Denali is highlighted by the Denali’s signature chrome honeycomb grille. Other exterior tweaks to the Acadia Denali include unique front and rear fascias, HID headlights, body-color cladding and fender flares, body-side moldings with chrome accents and dual chrome exhaust tips.
Inside, the Acadia Denali sports just about every luxury feature, including premium acoustics to keep the cabin extra quiet, leather trim throughout, heated and cooled front seats, wood trim, uniquely lit footwells, chrome door sills with lighted Denali logo, dual SkyScape sunroof and GM’s Head-up display.
As if those added goodies weren’t enough, the Acadia Denali also comes loaded up with features like tri-zone climate control, XM radio, rearview camera system and remote vehicle start. Option equipment includes a satellite navigation system and a rear-seat entertainment package.
Acadia is equipped with six standard air bags: two dual-stage frontal air bags for the driver and front passenger; two seat-mounted side-impact air bags in the first row; and two head curtain side-impact air bags that cover all three seating rows. The head curtain side air bags are among the longest air bags in any production vehicle.
Complementing the air bags is GM’s rollover sensing system, which can preemptively activate the side-impact air bags if sensors determine a rollover is imminent. In the event of a rollover, the air bags stay inflated longer to provide increased occupant containment.
Acadia also comes standard with OnStar 9.0 (with a six-month Directions and Connections plan including Turn-by-Turn navigation and Destination Download) that features Automatic Crash Response.
Key Competitors
The Acadia Denali competes against fully-loaded versions of large crossovers like the Dodge Durango, the Ford Explorer and the Honda Pilot.
